Motorcycle Rider Injured in Crash on I-8 Freeway

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 19, 2025) — A motorcycle accident happened Wednesday in San Diego along the westbound Mission Valley (8) Freeway near Mission Gorge and Fairmount.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 9 a.m. in the fast lane of the I-8, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a grey sedan and the motorcyclist were involved, but it’s unknown what led to the crash.

Motorcycle Accident on Mission Valley 8 Freeway

The CHP report stated vehicles were pulled over on the right side and debris was in the slow lane. The rider reportedly limped their way to the center divider, leaving the bike down in the number one lane.

Paramedics responded to help those injured and investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the Mission Valley 8 Freeway.
