SUV, Motorcycle Crash on SR-163
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 3, 2023) — One person was injured Thursday morning in an accident between a motorcycle and a silver SUV on State Route Highway 163 near Robinson Avenue in San Diego.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on SR-163 also known as the Cabrillo Freeway around 7:39 a.m. on August 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The SUV and motorcyclist collided due to unknown circumstances in the southbound lanes of the freeway. A good Samaritan helped move the motorcycle to the center divide and the rider suffered a broken leg and required medical help.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. Meanwhile, a man driving the SUV and his wife were pulled over in the center divide area and stopped.
The San Diego Police Department was on the scene and issued a SigAlert due to traffic backing up due to the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the San Diego crash on Highway 163.
