Several Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Collision on 8 Freeway Thursday
San Diego, CA (September 9, 2021) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 8 Freeway Thursday morning.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported several vehicles, including a motorcycle rider, collided on I-8 Freeway. Officials said the crash took place just east of Interstate 5 near Hotel Circle.
Motorcycle Rider Injured in San Diego Traffic Accident, September 9
Shortly after 5:10 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties found in the area. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed the motorcycle rider and several other parties sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.
Emergency teams transported the patients to hospital for treatment. At this time, the names of the injured parties and their conditions remained undisclosed.
Several factors surrounding the incident have not been revealed thus far. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the accident on 8 Freeway happened.
