
Motorcyclist Badly Injured in San Diego Crash at 27th and Market Streets
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 4, 2023) – A motorcyclist was badly injured after a crash at 27th Street and Market Street in San Diego.
According to a report posted by the 911 Video News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers responded to the collision on February 3 at about 6:24 a.m.
The incident happened when a male motorcycle rider was going west on Market Street, approaching 27th Street, in San Diego. At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling south on 27th.
Police said the car then made a turn onto eastbound Market. In the process, the motorcyclist slammed into the rear side of the truck at the intersection.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The impact knocked the motorcycle down onto the ground. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found the rider hurt.
The patient sustained a broken left leg and a broken right arm as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the pickup ended up unharmed following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of 27th and Market streets to shut down after the incident. The cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
