Motorcyclist Hurt in San Diego Collision on the I-5 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 30, 2021) — A San Diego motorcycle crash happened Monday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
The collision happened about 5:50 a.m. on August 30th near State Route 75 and Palm Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcycle rider went down after colliding with an unknown vehicle. The person wound up near the center divider underneath the Palm Avenue bridge, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver in the other vehicle continued driving without stopping to help the victim.

Additionally, a Good Samaritan stopped and helped move the motorcycle to the right shoulder of the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help the injured motorcyclist, but it’s unknown if the person was transported to a hospital. The CHP report did not mention the age or gender of the motorcycle rider.
Investigators seek to determine liability for the San Diego motorcycle crash. No word yet on the status of the suspected hit-and-run motorist.
