Fiery Motorcycle Crash on I-8 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 4, 2021) — A San Diego motorcycle crash on the Interstate 8 Freeway happened Friday at College Avenue.
The fiery crash happened in the eastbound lanes about 12:22 p.m. on Friday, June 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The black and red motorcycle became fully engulfed by flames following the two-vehicle collision, police said.
Motorcycle Accident on 8 Freeway
The report indicated that the motorcyclist went down near the center divider due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics responded to treat the rider for undisclosed injuries. It’s unknown if the person was taken to the hospital and the age and gender was not reported.
It’s unknown if other motorists were involved, however, a witness told authorities his wife recorded the collision on her phone.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine fault for the San Diego motorcycle crash.
