Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in San Diego Crash on Eastbound Interstate 8
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 29, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on the Interstate 8 near State Route 163 in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:24 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and two other vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. The two crashed on the eastbound Interstate 8, west of State Route 163.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found the motorcyclist down in the slow lane as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded individual and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 8 to shut down following the wreck. They did not mention if any other party ended up hurt after the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the San Diego crash.
