Motorcyclist Badly Injured in Collision on I-805
SAN DIEGO (October 9, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury motorcycle collision was reported this morning between a motorcyclist and an alleged Ford Focus on northbound I-805.
Authorities confirmed the collision to have occurred at roughly 7:50 a.m. just south of Highway 163.
Upon their arrival, CHP noted the rider to have initially been lying in the middle of traffic lanes before finally being able to make his way over to the center divider despite being badly hurt.
The unidentified motorcyclist was attended to by paramedics and eventually transported via ambulance to a hospital with serious undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the involved Ford Focus did stop and remained at the scene.
No details have been made available at this time in regards to the cause of the accident which is currently under investigation at this time.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the vehicle and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident.
