Motorcyclist Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run Crash on 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 15, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 15 Freeway in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Thursday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 10:30 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the motorcycle rider for an unknown reason in the Florin area. They crashed on the northbound 15 Freeway near Scripps Poway Parkway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene also near Mercy Road. They found the motorcyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver failed to stop to help the rider and fled the area. They located a possible car involved, a black Honda Civic, with rear left damage on the right hand shoulder.
Officers forced the Nos 1 and 2 lanes of the northbound 15 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
