Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 805
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 20, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a suspected hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 805 in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident as a hit-and-run on Thursday morning. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at about 6:43 a.m.
A vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. The two crashed on the northbound Interstate 805 near El Cajon Boulevard and University Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist down in the No. 3 lane. The victim possibly sustained a broken bone as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that the other driver did not stop to render aid and fled northbound on Interstate 805. Officers described the car involved as a black BMW coupe.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the San Diego crash.
