Motorcyclist Injured in San Diego Crash on Interstate 805 and State Route 94
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 16, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a motorcyclist on the Interstate 805 and State Route 94 transition in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on September 15 at about 3:09 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the motorcycle rider in San Diego. The two crashed on the southbound Interstate 805 to eastbound State Route 94 transition road.
Driver Hits Motorcycle Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist wounded in the left lane as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not release the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to render aid to the rider and fled the area. The cause of the San Diego hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the southbound Interstate 805 to eastbound State Route 94 connector ramp to shut down following the wreck.
