SAN DIEGO, California (April 2, 2017) – A motorcyclist was badly injured in an alleged hit-and-run crash on Market Street Saturday night, according to UT San Diego.
The accident took place about 9:05 p.m. in the East Village neighborhood.
As per the article, San Diego police said a motorcycle rider was stopped at a red light on Market Street at 13th Street when he was rear-ended by a Ford Mustang. The car was headed east at the time.
FOX 5 San Diego wrote that the victim, a 68-year-old man, was left with a broken road and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His name was not immediately released.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old man driving the Mustang at the time sped off but eventually slammed into a tree and a parked vehicle. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and felony DUI.
