SAN DIEGO, California (February 10, 2017) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a traffic collision in University Heights Thursday afternoon, according to UT San Diego.
The accident took place about 4:15 p.m. in the area of El Cajon Boulevard and Mississippi Street.
As per the article, San Diego police said a 26-year-old woman was riding her motorcycle when she collided with a Dodge Ram pickup. The truck was going north on Mississippi Street and allegedly ran a stop sign at El Cajon Boulevard.
The female rider was transported to a hospital with a serious leg injury, which was considered non-life-threatening.
Meanwhile, police added that the 35-year-old man driving the Dodge at the time was unharmed. Alcohol or drugs did not appear to have played a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
