Two Vehicles Speeding Caused Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 19, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on the Interstate 8 Highway, in San Diego California.
The traffic accident occurred at around 2:15 PM on Wednesday June 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A silver truck and a red sedan collided on the Interstate 8 highway in San Diego. It was reported that both vehicles were traveling at very high speeds before the crash. One of the vehicles swerved off the off ramp of the highway. The red sedan ended up in the middle of the road. Also, the other vehicle collided into the center divide of the highway. One of the vehicles had its airbags deployed.
Another accident occurred due to the initial crash, a pink Toyota Supra hit the barrier of the off ramp and a pink Porsche hit the right side divider. The pink Toyota was reported to have smoke coming out of the engine.
Paramedics responded and located those injured in the accident and transported them to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on Interstate 8 Highway in San Diego.
