Hit-and-run Crash in University Heights
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 12, 2023) — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident at El Cajon Boulevard and Park Boulevard in University Heights.
A driver struck the 47-year-old man around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 10th, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Authorities reported the man was standing just outside of a crosswalk near a bus lane. Meanwhile, a northbound motorist on El Cajon Boulevard made a right-hand turn onto Park Boulevard.
The dark-colored Honda Civic or BMW 3 series hit man and continued driving without stopping to help the victim.
Paramedics responded and found the man unconscious and suffering other injuries including a cut to the back of his head, a fractured right shoulder and a brain bleed. They transported him by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
The investigation into what happened is ongoing.
