Pedestrian Critically Injured in Car Accident on Hotel Circle South
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 1, 2022) — A San Diego pedestrian accident on Hotel Circle South in Mission Valley happened Thursday night.
A driver told authorities the 55-year-old man was walking on the shoulder of Hotel Circle South, according to the San Diego Police Department. The victim reportedly darted across the roadway and was hit by the vehicle.
The collision occurred about 11:30 p.m. on June 30th, the news report said.
Paramedics responded and rushed the man to a hospital in critical condition. The pedestrian suffered a skull fracture, a brain bleed and other injures, said police.
The 30-year-old man driving the involved 2011 Honda CRV stopped and is cooperating with authorities, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Meanwhile, the driver was not hurt in the collision.
Investigators with the San Diego police department will determine fault.
