Hit-and-Run Collision on Escondido Freeway Friday
San Diego, CA (November 22, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Escondido Freeway.
On November 19, Friday, a vehicle struck an individual in the northbound side of the freeway in San Diego. The collision took place near the Friars Road offramp.

Emergency crews arrived at the site shortly after 9:55 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance reportedly responded to the crash site and transported the patient to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the CHP log mentioned the driver involved in the crash fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led to the pedestrian accident on Interstate 15 in San Diego.
