Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Sports Arena Boulevard Thursday
San Diego, CA (January 13, 2022) – A pedestrian accident occurred Thursday evening on Rosecrans Street in the Midway District, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Earlier reports indicated a 2002 Ford F-150 struck an individual near Sports Arena Boulevard. The collision took place at about 7:40 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian attempted to cross the street outside of a crosswalk. At about the same time, the pickup had a green light and drove through the intersection at Rosecrans and Sports Arena.

The driver of the Ford accidentally hit the pedestrian. Due to the force from the impact the victim sustained multiple fractures to his upper and lower body. Officials briefly identified the patient as a 50-year-old man. Paramedics reportedly transported him to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver of the Ford remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors in the pedestrian accident on Rosecrans Street in San Diego.
