Pedestrian Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run at University Avenue and 52nd Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 14, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at University Avenue and 52nd Street in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 7:17 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Diego. The driver hit the person at the intersection of University Avenue and 52nd Street.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Colina Park Golf Course. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the site. Officers forced the corner of University Avenue and 52nd Street to shut down following the crash.
The cause of the San Diego hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
