Driver Flees Scene of Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 13, 2024) — A driver struck a man who was pouring gas into his vehicle Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway in San Diego.
The hit-and-run crash happened at around 7:06 a.m. on June 13th at the Carmel Mountain Road off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a driver in a blue or purple Hyundai Elantra struck a man with a gas standing next to his vehicle. Next, the suspect continued driving and made a right turn onto Carmel Mountain Road.
Paramedics are on their way to the scene to help the injured man, but there are no further details at this time.
The San Diego Police Department also responded to the scene of the crash and is heading up the investigation.
