2 Injured in Collision on College Avenue
San Diego, CA (September 3, 2022) – A woman, and an officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on College Avenue Friday evening.
The ABC10 News reported a 21-year-old female was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry heading south on College Avenue. Preliminary investigation revealed the woman made an abrupt U-turn, causing the officer traveling behind her to hit the left front of the Camry.
Due to the force from the impact, the officer hit two other parked cars in the College East neighborhood. The collision took place around 11:02 p.m.
Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed the woman driving the Camry and the officer both sustained injuries in the collision. Paramedics transported the female motorist to a hospital for further treatment.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on College Avenue in San Diego.
