SAN DIEGO (March 10, 2017)- According to CBS 8 San Diego, a deadly hit-and-run took place Thursday evening at the 5700 block of Santo Road in the Tierrasanta community.
Per CBS 8 News, the driver of a black four-door vehicle had been traveling at high speeds before hitting a teen standing next to the median at roughly 11:53 p.m.
The unidentified 16-year-old boy sadly died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Alex Funk.
Meanwhile, a friend who had been walking with the victim was uninjured after being able to evade the vehicle.
Authorities were able to confirm that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene failing to help the victim.
