1 Injured in San Diego Crash on Interstate 15 and Mercy Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 14, 2023) – One was hospitalized after a Tesla crash on the Interstate 15 and Mercy Road in San Diego.
According to a report published by the 911 Video News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers responded to the wreck on April 14 at about 6:19 a.m.
The incident began when a Tesla was making a turn from westbound Mercy Road onto the southbound Interstate 15 on-ramp in San Diego.
At the same time, a Honda was coming off of the southbound Interstate 15 exit ramp. For an unknown reason, the Tesla then ran the red light.
Tesla Runs Red Light, Collides With Car
In the process, the Honda T-boned the Tesla. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the driver of the Honda unconscious inside their car.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
The male motorist in the Tesla sustained a cut to his arm as a result of the collision. He reportedly did not need any medical attention.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of the Interstate 15 and Mercy Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Sand Diego crash is still under investigation.
