Southbound 57 Freeway in San Dimas Closed Due to Crash

 SAN DIMAS: 2-Vehicle Crash 57 Freeway at Covina Boulevard (July 17)SAN DIMAS, Calif. (July 18, 2019) – One person was injured Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash on the southbound Orange (57) Freeway.

The San Dimas crash led to the closure of all southbound lanes until about 2 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The crash took place on the freeway at Covina Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17th, according to the CHP.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash and one was left with major front-end damage. The other one had significant rear-end damage, according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Officer Tony Polizzi said.

Police directed the traffic off the freeway at Arrow Highway.

The cause of the traffic accident was under investigation.
