1 Injured in San Francisco Crash on Interstate 80 Near Fremont Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 10, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near Fremont Street in San Francisco.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident happened on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:41 a.m.
According to CHP, at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Francisco. They crashed on the westbound Interstate 80, just east of Fremont Street.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a white Audi and a blue Nissan. One of them veered upon impact and slammed into the center divider.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 to shut down near Fremont following the wreck. The cause of the San Francisco crash is still under investigation.
