Pedestrian Killed in Chinatown at Powell and Vallejo
LOCATION: San Francisco
DATE OF COLLISION: Monday, November 5th
November 7, 2018- According to the SF Gate, a deadly pedestrian versus auto collision was reported earlier this week at the cross streets of Powell and Vallejo.
The accident occurred at 12:37 p.m. roughly in the Chinatown district.
Victim was in Marked Crosswalk
According to authorities, the victim who remains unidentified was inside of a marked crosswalk upon being hit by the involved driver.
Per SF Gate, the victim sadly did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
San Francisco police confirmed the motorist remained at the scene following the collision, was cooperative, and not believed to have been under the influence.
No additional details or information has been provided at this time as this story will be updated pending the release of the victim’s name.
