1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured in San Francisco Crash at Mansell and Visitacion
SAN FRANCISCO (March 2, 2019) – A driver was killed and another was badly injured after a car crash at Mansell Street and Visitacion Avenue in John McLaren Park Friday, reports by NBC Bay Area said.
Police responded to calls of a car collision around 7 in the evening at the intersection on March 1.
Upon arriving at the scene, San Francisco police and firefighters found damaged vehicles identified as a silver Nissan sedan and a silver Chevy sedan with their respective drivers still trapped inside.
Despite life-saving measures, firefighters were not able to save the operator of the Chevy. The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the sole occupant of the Nissan sedan suffered major but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the accident.
Firefighters extricated the person from the wrecked vehicle and the paramedics immediately took the victim to an area hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties were not released.
The crash is still being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic and Collision unit. They are reaching out to witnesses with information to come forward and help police with the investigation.
