1 Killed, 1 Injured in San Francisco Crash Near Cesar Chavez and Van Ness
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 8, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another near Cesar Chavez Street and Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco.
According to the CBS San Francisco and SF Examiner, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:24 a.m.
The incident happened on December 7 when a man riding a motorcycle and an SUV collided for an unknown reason in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Police said the two crashed near the intersection of Cesar Chavez Street and South Van Ness Avenue. Paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist down on the ground.
The motorcycle rider soon died at the scene. Medical personnel treated the man driving the car who sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Cesar Chavez and Van Ness to shut down for a time following the wreck.
