2 Killed in Big Rig Collision Near Treasure Island
San Francisco, CA (March 15, 2023) – Two people died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway Wednesday evening, March 15.
According to ABC7 News, a big rig collided with another vehicle in the westbound side of I-80 at the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. Additional details on the description of the cars involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Deadly Car vs. Semi Truck Accident in San Francisco
The article published online mentioned the horrible crash took place at approximately 11:21 p.m. When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately checked the conditions of all the occupants in both the car and semi truck. After the evaluation, authorities sadly pronounced two people died in the collision. Authorities continue to withhold the names of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Police shut down a portion of the Bay Bridge to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 80 in San Francisco.
