Motorcyclist Killed in San Francisco Crash at Richardson Avenue and Francisco Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 5, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a DUI crash at Richardson Avenue and Francisco Street in San Francisco.
The San Francisco police said an SUV slammed into the motorcycle rider at the intersection of Richardson Avenue and Francisco Street.
The car struck the 40-year-old man riding the bike in the Marina District. Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene, just south of the Palace of Fine Arts.
Victim Hit by DUI Driver
Medical personnel found the victim down on the ground with serious injuries as a result of the collision. They rushed him to a hospital, where he died.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police determined that the driver of the SUV was under the influence when he hit the motorcyclist.
They soon arrested him on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DUI. Officers forced the area of Richardson and Francisco to shut down for hours following the wreck.
