SAN FRANCISCO, California (May 20, 2016) – A teenager boy was killed and three others were injured following a crash on Calgary Street near Velasco Avenue, according to an article by SF Gate.
The accident happened on May 19 shortly before 4:00 p.m.
As per the report, a Toyota Prius was headed north on Calgary when it collided head-on into a woman’s car.
The Toyota was occupied by three men with ages 18 to 24. All three parties suffered life-threatening injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital.
One from the three men later succumbed to his trauma and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The fatality was only identified by the San Francisco medical examiner’s office as 18 or 19 years old.
The two other Toyota occupants remained critical at the hospital.
The 56-year-old woman from the other vehicle was also injured but her severity was not discussed.
Investigators assigned to handle this incident will continue to gather more evidence as there are several factors that remain unclear.
