Pedestrian Killed in San Francisco Crash at 37th Avenue and Fulton Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 23, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at 37th Avenue and Fulton Street in San Francisco.
According to the Easy Bay Times and SF Gate, the tragic accident took place on Saturday. The incident happened on May 21 near the Golden Gate Park Senior Center.
Officials said a vehicle struck an 82-year-old pedestrian for an unknown reason along the edge of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Golden Gate
The driver hit the person in a designated senior zone at the intersection of 37th Avenue and Fulton Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision. They then rushed the patient to a hospital where they died.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the report did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Officers forced the area of 37th Avenue and Fulton Street to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
