
Pedestrian Killed in San Francisco Crash Near Jones and Geary Streets
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 11, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Jones and Geary streets in San Francisco.
According to the KTVU News and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on April 11 at around 12:13 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was near a parked car in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. For an unknown reason, a U-Haul truck hit him.
Police said the vehicle struck the victim in the area of Jones and Geary streets. The U-Haul continued to roll into the intersection and then slammed into a FedEx delivery truck.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel soon rushed the patient to a hospital, where he died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the U-Haul truck stopped or stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced the area of Jones and Geary streets to shut down for a time after the collision. The cause of the San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
