Pedestrian Killed in San Francisco Crash Near Lombard and Steiner Streets
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 8, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Lombard and Steiner streets in San Francisco.
According to the NBC Bay Area and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 5:20 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Marina District of San Francisco. The driver hit him near the intersection of Lombard and Steiner streets.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police said the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Lombard and Steiner streets to shut down for a time following the collision.
