At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision Near Fremont Street Offramp Thursday
San Francisco, CA (September 30, 20201) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 80 Freeway in the area near Bay Bridge Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the westbound side of the freeway. The accident took place at the Fremont Street offramp in San Francisco.
The CHP logged the case at about 10:40 a.m.
Our sources indicated the force from the impact left the motorcyclist lying on the ground. Shortly after, an oncoming motorist did not notice the victim and ran over their legs. The collision resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist. An ambulance later arrived, and rushed the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Meanwhile, one of the drivers involved in the accident fled the scene before police arrived. It remained unclear if the motorist that caused the rider to fall, or the driver that ran over their legs was the one who sped away. No immediate information was available on the suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash on Interstate 80.
