Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in San Francisco Crash on Highway 101 Near Cesar Chavez
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 22, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:35 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a 2013 silver BMW 1600 motorcycle and a gray Tesla collided for an unknown reason in San Francisco. The two crashed on northbound Highway 101, just north of Cesar Chavez.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Mission District. The motorcyclist sustained major injuries, including a broken clavicle and road rash, as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Tesla ended up hurt or if they stayed following the wreck. Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Cesar after the incident.
The cause of the San Francisco crash is still under investigation.
