San Francisco: Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 280

1 Hospitalized After Collision Near Ocean Avenue Offramp

San Francisco, CA (March 11, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 280 Freeway on March 6, Monday.

The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with one or two cars in the southbound side of the freeway near Ocean Avenue offramp. Officials briefly described the vehicles involved in the wreck as a Honda sedan, and a Toyota car.

At Least 1 Injured in San Francisco Accident on Interstate 280

Shortly after 1:59 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics checked the physical conditions of all parties found at the scene. After the evaluation, medical personnel reportedly transported one victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Police shut down a portion of the freeway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the accident happened on Interstate 280 in San Francisco.
