Officer Hospitalized After Collision Near BAy Bridge Sunday
San Francisco, CA (November 28, 2021) – A California Highway Patrol officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 580 Freeway Sunday.
According to KRON4 News, a tow truck crashed into a marked patrol vehicle on the highway near the Bay Bridge toll plaza. After the collision, the driver of the tow truck apparently took off.
Officials said the tow truck operator turned back for an unknown reason. The driver allegedly intentionally rammed the patrol car. The article published online mentioned the second collision resulted in injuries to the CHP officer.
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately checked the condition of the deputy. An ambulance later transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
