Pedestrian Seriously Injured in San Francisco Crash at Powell and Pacific
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Powell Street and Pacific Avenue in San Francisco.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident involving a bus on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 2:36 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Chinatown area of San Francisco. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of Powell Street and Pacific Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the person who sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the corner of Powell Street and Pacific Avenue to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
