Pedestrian Severely Injured in San Francisco Crash Near Mission and Randall

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 6, 2022) – A pedestrian was severely injured after a crash near Mission and Randall streets in San Francisco.

According to the CBS San Francisco and KRON 4 News, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly after 3:50 p.m.

The incident happened on August 5 when a sedan struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.

The car hit her near the intersection of Mission and Randall streets. Police said in the process, the driver pinned the 47-year-old woman against a building in the area.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The reports did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.

Meanwhile, police did not mention if the 68-year-old woman driving the sedan stopped or stayed at the site. Officers forced the corner of Mission and Randall to shut down following the incident.

The cause of the San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
