Pedestrian Seriously Injured in San Francisco Crash Near Polk and Sutter
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash near Polk and Sutter streets in San Francisco.
According to an article published by the CBS San Francisco, the accident took place early Wednesday. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:35 a.m.
The incident began when a 24-year-old man riding a 2015 black Honda CBR collided with another vehicle in the city.
San Francisco police said the motorcyclist then struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The rider hit the person near the intersection of Polk and Sutter streets.
Victim Hit by Motorcyclist
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police arrested and took the rider into custody. Officers forced the area of Polk and Sutter streets to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
