Woman, 88, Critically Injured in San Francisco Hit-and-Run Near Fulton and Pierce Streets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 23, 2021) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a hit-and-run crash near Fulton Street and Pierce Street in San Francisco.

According to the SF Chronicle and KRON 4 News, the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the incident on July 21 at about 5:56 p.m.

San Francisco police said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in the crosswalk for an unknown reason. The driver hit her near the intersection of Fulton and Pierce streets.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Alamo Square. They then found the 88-year-old woman left lying on the ground as a result of the crash.

Pedestrian Hit by Car

Medical personnel rushed her to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries . Officials did not release her name and condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the elderly woman and fled the area. They described the car involved as a white colored sedan.

Officers forced the intersection of Fulton and Pierce streets to shut down following the accident. The San Francisco hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
