Man Severely Injured in San Francisco Hit-and-Run at Mission and St Mary’s
SAN FRACISCO, CA (September 9, 2021) – A scooter rider was severely injured after a hit-and-run crash at Mission Street and St Mary’s Avenue in San Francisco.
According to an article published by the CBS San Francisco, the tragic accident took place late Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 11:09 p.m.
The incident happened on September 8 when a vehicle struck a man riding a scooter in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.
Police said the driver struck him for an unknown reason at the intersection of Mission Street and St Mary’s Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene.
Scooter Rider Hit by Car
Medical personnel found the victim left lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They soon rushed him to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled the area.
They described the car involved as a sedan. Officers forced the intersection of Mission and St Mary’s to shut down following the crash.
