Big Rig Overturns on Oyster Point Ramp to 101 Freeway
SAN FRANCISCO (August 1, 2018) – On July 31, Tuesday, a truck accident took place at Oyster Point Boulevard ramp leading to the Interstate 101 Freeway.
According to a local news source, a big rig toppled to its side for unknown reasons while traveling on the southbound side of Oyster Point. The rig then dumped sand onto the area where the ramp and freeway connects.
Emergency crews arrived at the location around 7:30 p.m. and attended to the parties involved. It was not immediately clear whether there were injuries in the accident.
As per the article, the on-ramp and adjacent off-ramp remained closed following the crash to give way to the investigation. The exact circumstances that led to the incident is still being determined.
