Major Injury Crash on I-280 Freeway in South San Francisco

 SAN FRANCISCO: Wrong-way Driver Crash Interstate 280 Freeway, Westborough Blvd. SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July 23, 2020) – At least one person was injured Wednesday night in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on the Interstate 280 Freeway in South San Francisco.

The California Highway Patrol reported the crash took place in the southbound lanes of the freeway when a wrong-way driver collided with a car near Westborough Boulevard.

The collision prompted a response from the San Francisco Police Department and paramedics who found the suspect inside the vehicle upon their arrival to the scene.

The CHP report does not elaborate on who suffered major injuries in the accident, nor does it say how many were hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation by police.
