Motorcycle Rider Hurt in Hit-and-run Crash
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. (August 10, 2018) –A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run collision Friday morning on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at New Avenue, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash took place about 10:35 a.m. this morning in the HOV lane. A big rig truck with white trailers reportedly struck the motorcyclist and kept driving.
Someone was trying to follow the truck driver, but it’s unknown at this time whether or not they got a license plate or were able to find them.
The rider was treated and paramedics were at the scene, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital or not.
San Gabriel Hit-and-run Investigation
At this time, it’s unknown who is at fault for this collision and whether or not the suspect will be located, but a full investigation is underway to determine fault.
We hope the injured motorcyclist gets the proper care for a full recovery.
In a case such as this one, there could also be more than one entity responsible for this collision including an employer if the driver was working at the time of the crash, an auto manufacturer or a government entity. A qualified attorney would conduct a full investigation into the circumstances and ensure all responsible parties are identified.
