1 Killed, 2 Injured in San Jacinto Crash on Highway 79 Near Gilman Springs
SAN JACINTO, CA (July 26, 2022) – A crash on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road killed one person and injured two others in San Jacinto.
According to an article published by The Press Enterprise, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 9 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Jacinto. They crashed on southbound Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road.
A CHP dispatch described the vehicles as a white Kia Forte, a blue Subaru Outback and a tractor-trailer. One of them rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then pronounced one individual dead at the scene. Two people ended up hurt as a result of the incident.
One patient sustained moderate injuries while the other survived the accident with minor injuries. Medical personnel rushed them to hospitals for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced Highway 79 to shut down in both directions near Gilman following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal San Jacinto crash is still under investigation.
