Man Airlifted After Collision at Ahern and Vernalis Road
San Joaquin County, CA (March 21, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic crash that occurred in the area of State Route Highway 33 and 132.
Vehicle Hits Cyclist in San Joaquin County
On March 16, Thursday, a man riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of SR-33, also known as Ahern Road, and SR-132, also known as Vernalis Road. The make and model of the car involved in the vehicular accident have not been revealed thus far.
CHP logged the case at about 12:08 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the scene, they found an adult male suffering in serious injuries. Officials requested an air ambulance to transport the 41-year-old victim to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the collision stayed at the scene for several hours. They continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened at State Route Highway 33 and 132 in San Joaquin County.
