1 Killed in San Joaquin County Crash on Highway 132 Near River Road
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (August 28, 2021) – At least one was killed after a head-on crash on Highway 132 in San Joaquin County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic wreck took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:11 p.m.
According to CHP, a white SUV and another vehicle collided head-on for an unknown reason in San Joaquin County. The two crashed on Highway 132, known as Maze Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene between River Road and Gates Road. They confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased individual remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if any other party sustained injuries following the wreck.
Meanwhile, CHP forced Highway 132 to shut down between River and Gates for more than three hours after the collision. The cause of the fatal San Joaquin County crash is still under investigation.
