3-Vehicle Collision on I-280 at State Route 87
SAN JOSE, Calif. (August 23, 2023) — A multi-vehicle San Jose car accident on the northbound Interstate 280 Freeway happened Wednesday, just south of State Route 87.
The three-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:48 a.m. on August 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a grey Toyota RAV 4 SUV, a Hyundai Elantra and a Dodge Ram pickup truck were involved. The RAV4 sustained minor rear-end and moderate front-end damage in the chain-reaction crash with the other two motorists.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash and vehicles were blocking the No. 3 lane of the freeway, the report said.
A tow truck removed the RAV4 SUV from the freeway.
Meanwhile, investigators will determine fault for the accident on the Interstate 280 Freeway.
